The Genius® RF Microneedling procedure is a hybridised treatment that puts together two methodologies designed to address the skin’s appearance and promote firmness and skin health. Radiofrequency energy delivered deep into the skin via tiny microneedles can trigger the body’s natural healing response, allowing the skin to renew itself and create healthier surface layers. Genius® RF Microneedling can help many individuals reduce common signs of time, sun and environmental effects, and loose skin by addressing the skin’s healing properties.

Treatment
Initial consultation to evaluate your skin and determine whether Genius® RF Microneedling is the right option for your needs and goals (treatments are customised for each patient)
A topical anaesthetic applied to the skin just before the procedure to minimise the potential for pain (arrive well hydrated and relaxed)
The handpiece delivers radiofrequency energy through small perforations in the skin made by the microneedling device, heating the tissue and stimulating the growth of elastin and collagen (typically about 40 minutes to one hour)
A series of Genius® RF Microneedling treatments may be recommended to achieve the desired goals
Genius® RF Microneedling treatments are customised for each patient. The procedure can be performed right here in our clinic and typically does not take longer than about 40 minutes to one hour to complete; however, this will depend on the extent of treatment and individual goals. The Genius® RF Microneedling handpiece will be delicately guided over the targeted area of treatment. The handpiece delivers radiofrequency energy through small perforations in the skin made by the microneedling device, which enables the skin to begin repairing itself by heating the tissue and stimulating the growth of elastin and collagen.
Genius® RF Microneedling is performed using a topical anaesthetic applied to the skin just before the procedure to minimise the potential for pain. As patients have different pain thresholds and responses to treatment, we recommend you arrive at your appointment well hydrated and relaxed.

Some redness and sensitivity can be expected in the treatment area; however, these effects should only be temporary. With that in mind, patients are advised to maximise protection from sunlight throughout the healing process. Most individuals can resume normal daily routines immediately after Genius® RF Microneedling treatment. The results of this procedure should become more and more noticeable over the next four weeks, with continued advancement in the months that follow as collagen and elastin progressively replenish the skin. In some cases, we may recommend a series of Genius® RF Microneedling treatments to achieve the desired goals.
