PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Everything you need to know before your visit — from what to bring, consultation fees, practice hours, and clinic policies.
Please arrive 10–15 minutes prior to your appointment time to complete an information form. Alternatively, this information can be completed online.
If a patient arrives late, we will endeavour to see the patient but should the appointment need to be rescheduled the booking fee paid at booking may be retained as a late fee.
Consultation fees with our plastic surgeons, Dr Craig Layt, Dr Cheng and Dr Trott. Range between $190 and $490. At the time of booking a consultation with Dr Layt a $50 booking fee is required. Review consultation fees range between $90 and $290. A rebate from Medicare is available for medical consultations and reviews. These rebate amounts vary between $30 and $75.

Patients should obtain a GP referral for the consultation. The specialist consultation and any further follow-up consultations with Dr Layt regarding breast implant surgery, eyelid surgery, facelift and abdominoplasty may be eligible for a Medicare rebate if the patient has a valid GP referral.
Referrals are valid for a limited time. Referrals are valid from a GP (General Practitioner) for 12 months, and a specialist for three (3) months.
Extended hours by appointment only on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings.
Parking: The Layt Clinic at Southport has parking at the rear of the building, with the driveway entrance from Warehouse Road. There is also street parking available, some with 2 hour limits. There is a disabled park at the rear and a ramp from the carpark area.

The Layt Clinic is committed to ensuring the privacy and confidentiality of all personal information. The Layt Clinic adheres to the terms and conditions of Privacy and Confidentiality in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles and The Privacy Act 1988 (The Act).
Phone Southport Clinic at least 48 hours prior. Cancellation within 48 hours may result in $50 booking fee retention. Patients who repeatedly miss appointments may be declined further bookings.
Accompanied children are welcome. We ask that children refrain from running, jumping on furniture, and making loud noises. We suggest some children may be best with another family member during consultations.
Patients displaying aggressive or threatening behaviour may be asked to leave. Both patients and staff have the right to feel safe. The Layt Clinic is a non-smoking medical practice.
Due to Privacy Regulations, cameras are not used within the clinic. No recording of consultations or treatments is permitted. Mobile phones should be in Silent or Vibrate Mode.
